MONTHLY NEWSLETTER - JULY 2021

Glenn Siegert
Thank you to Mac Rodgers for creating this slideshow of the June Mini-Contest.
TWPC Members!
Thank you all who celebrated our 2020 Exhibit and Reception at The Glade on June 14th! We had approximately 65-70 attendees who enjoyed the photographs, the food, and fantastic company!
The event was a fabulous success thanks to Ellen Taylor, Randi Munsey and all the volunteers who collected, set up and took down the photos!
Now, it’s time to begin to think about our 2021 annual Contest! If it feels like it is just around the corner…it is! Check our website for the categories and rules and start capturing those stunning images.
Our July 12th meeting will be via Zoom with Chris Summers as our guest speaker covering Food Photography. And hopefully, we will be able to announce when we will meet in person at The Glade.

FIELD TRIPS
4TH OF JULY
Wherever you like to photograph fireworks
Sunday, July 4, 2021
Fee: Free

July is a hot and busy month for many of us so our TWPC July field trip will be to wherever you like to photograph fireworks on July 4, 2021.
It seems that many places will resume their July 4th firework displays this year. Hopefully there will be a beautiful display near you. These can be a local display or if you happen to be on vacation somewhere that has a display, you can still participate.
After you take your photos, please post at least one on our Facebook page to show that you participated.
If you think you will participate, please let me know at judogal@att.net and I will create a sign-up sheet. Even if you don't 'sign up' ahead of time I will check our Facebook page for anyone who decides at the last minute. Have fun and a Happy July 4th!

The Lighting Workshop was a huge success in June. And we look forward to bringing Jaime Sonnier back for another workshop, so stay tuned!
Photo Walks
Friday July 23, 2021
City Place – Street Photography
Early Dinner at Common Bond – 5pm
Street Photography 6-8:30pm
(see email or Facebook Event for Zoom Link and Details)
Street Photography is one genre we can always practice just about anywhere there is people! This month let’s gather at the fairly new City Place in Springwoods Village for an early dinner (optional) at Common Bond and then some street photography around City Place. They will have live music and outdoor seating at the restaurants so that should provide us with people. Lots to photograph including architecture and landscape.
Photo Critiques
CANCELLED
Some activities just don’t pan out for some clubs, and that’s ok. The interest level was always questionable and this past month it proved it to be so. We only had one more scheduled for this year. Instead, we will plan on an extra Photo Walk! Stay tuned!
